Engagement Photos in Arizona

I love engagement sessions. It gives me the chance to interact with my clients in a relaxed environment. I get to hear the “how we met” stories, the wedding planning progress, and the future plans of my couples. The best part is this happens in gorgeous locations throughout Arizona.

What to Expect

After consulting on where to shoot and what to wear, we’ll meet up at your location. We will take it slower, have some fun, get to know each other, and get you guys some awesome pics! Sessions generally last about an hour. If we need to go longer to get it all done then we will.

What to Wear

I always tell clients to wear what makes you comfortable. This is your engagment and you want something that represents who you are during this time. Some clients take the opportunity as a chance to “dress up” and have some elegant photos. Others show up in casual dress and just want to have some fun for their save-the-date cards. The beauty of it is there is no right or wrong. You get to be you!

Location

This one takes on all forms. From the great outdoors of Flagstaff to the interior of a comic book shop, I’ve shot engagement sessions everywhere. Generally, couples have a place that is special (where the big proposal happened) or they are looking to go to some place they have never been to just to mix it up. One of the benefits of Arizona is there is a never-ending list of places to shoot. If you want cactus we have it. If you want big city lights, we have it. If you want gritty urban and graffiti, we have it. If you want the red rocks of Sedona, we have it!

The choice is yours but I am always happy to offer suggestions.

After the Shoot

Once we have wrapped, its time for me to get busy on your photos. I will have all those amazing images edited and delivered via an online gallery to you within two weeks of your session. This downloadable gallery will have two copies of your photos. One set will be high res that can be printed (perfect for save-the-date) and the other set will be sized for social media sharing. Your gallery can be shared with friends and family so they can share in the fun of your engagement!

FAQs

How long is an engagement session?

They typically go for about an hour. Some couples like to bring several outfits that may take a bit longer and that’s fine.

Can you help us pick a location?

Absolutely. Some couples have that special place in mind others just want something nice or different. I can help with those requests.

We may want to travel out of the Phoenix area, say Sedona. Does that cost extra?

It does not as long as the session is within the state of AZ! Outside the state, there will be additional travel fees.

Can we bring our pets?

Absolutley! I’m a huge dog fan.

Speaking of outfits, how many should we bring?

That is totally up to you. Typically clients will bring a minimum of two (casual & dressy). Sometimes they will bring additional such as college wear. I’m happy to consult with you guys.

How long until we get our photos?

Engagement photos are delivered back to you within two weeks of the session via online gallery.

We are just interested in an engagment session right now, do you offer those separately?

I do. That is an ala carte charge and if you have hire me for your wedding that cost will be applied towards your wedding.
