Winter In The Desert

One of the things about living in the southwest is the contrast one can experience in the environment. Around Phoenix we are surrounded by desert, yet drive just 1.5 hours and you are in pine trees and cooler temperatures. Drive just a bit farther and you can be skiing in Flagstaff.
The image above was taken back in April. The snow didn’t last long but it sure was fun to be in the desert and look out to a winter wonderland.
Until next time…

Oh man, this is stunning Chris, the depth, the lighting, everything, WOW
Stunning shot, and I really like the sheer feeling of size thanks to the cacti on the right. Great work man.
What a wonderful photo!
Woah, the depth of field is awesome. Love the colors and tones, Chris. Nice!
Beautiful shot Chris!
Very nice, this time of the year it is nice to get reminded that it isn’t always over 100 here.
