Outdoor Portraits with Shannon

Everyone meet Shannon. I met up with Shannon a few weeks ago to do some fun lifestyle portraits. Shooting outdoor portrait photography is one of my favorite things to do rather it be a couple or an individual.
I was excited the days leading up to Shannon’s shoot as we were having some great clouds in the sky. I was already picturing some awesome sunset photos with a dash of some off camera flash. If only. The day of the shoot there was not a cloud in the sky. Go figure. I was hoping that as evening approached we would get some clouds. No such luck.
Nonetheless we started shooting in one of my favorite on location places, downtown Chandler. As our session started so did the wind. At first I wasn’t too worried thinking it would die down as evening approached. No such luck. The wind only grew in strength as our session was unfolding. Grrr. Sometimes you can’t win.
Shannon remained a trooper through it all. We wrapped up with a few more shots and finally succumbed to the gail force hurricane in the desert. We have a tentative follow up shoot planned so be on the lookout for Shannon to make her way back here to complete her session.
Until next time…
