Styled Wedding Shoot at the Scottsdale Resort

Bride standing in courtyard for a styled wedding shoot at the Scottsdale Resort.

This year working with Arizona’s Finest Wedding Sites magazine, we did a styled wedding shoot at the Scottsdale Resort. What an incredible venue to showcase for our session. Brides if you are looking for your location to get married, you won’t go wrong with the Scottsdale Resort.

Styled Wedding Shoot at the Scottsdale Resort

It was last fall when we set foot on the grounds of the Scottsdale Resort. Diane (the new owner of AZ Finest Wedding Sites) had assembled a rock star team for this shoot. It was my 2nd year working with their magazine and I couldn’t wait to get started. Lisa Foster (Stylish Events by Lisa), our event planner did a wonderful job laying out the shoot. Her creative style really showed with the color combinations.

One of the first details we photographed was the cake. Who doesn’t like cake! This beautiful creation was made by The Kak Shop. The hand painted swirling colors really made this cake pop.

One of the highlights from this shoot was Lisa’s use of flowers. Bold and beautiful colors really accented the venue throughout the day. All of the floral arrangements were put together by Deidre Laskoskie (Dei-Zinz Fresh Studio). Simply gorgeous arrangements!

Our table setting arrangement that Lisa put together made use of those gorgeous flowers along with the stationary items from Tami Swerdfeger (Posh Invitations). Tami’s choice of blue for the stationary added the right amount of punch for the setting.

The Scottsdale Resort has so much to offer a bride and groom for their wedding day. One of two key features we photographed was their fountain. Going back to that gorgeous blue theme, their tiled fountain provides a stunning backdrop for our bride.

Speaking of signature features, their outdoor fireplace offers the perfect place to snuggle up. A few of our floral pieces added just the right touch for a warm intimate moment.

No wedding is complete without an adorable flower girl and we had one. My gosh she was so precious with our bride. That red curly hair and her blue chiffon dress was a perfect match for our setting. I could have photographed her all day long.

And finally what better way to end the day than enjoying an outdoor fire pit. Our couple got to settle in for a nice fire as the sun set on the day.

No styled shoot happens like this one without a complete team behind the scenes. Rounding out the cast who helped pull all this together:

Furniture: Glamour & Woods

Linens, Place Settings, and Chairs: Classic Event and Tent Rentals

Hair and Makeup: Babydoll Weddings

Bridal Gown and Jewelry: Bridal Boutique of Arizona

Flower Girl Dress: Wedding Apparel Superstore

Groom’s Attire: Mr. Formal

And finally I’d like to thank my good friend Matthew Beutel for assisting me on this styled wedding shoot at the Scottsdale Resort. I couldn’t have pulled it off without you Matt!
