A Cholla Sunset

One thing I never grow tired of here in Arizona are the sunsets. I believe they can hold their own to just about any place on earth.
This cholla provided a nice silhouette for the setting sun back in January. These are nicknamed “jumping chollas”due to their ability to stick you should you get near them. For some reason just getting close to one will almost always result in getting stuck.
Until next time…

Love that you placed the cactus right in front of the sun. Nice way to obstruct the view and force people around the frame!
Love this shot, Chris. The silhouette’s are absolutely incredible my friend!
This is beautiful man.
Great light and colors Chris. Awesome silhouette.
OOOoo, I like this one. Great glow in the cactus thorns. Wonderful range of colors in the sky as well! did you get stuck?
I love the hint of light around the edges Chris, exceptional work
Great silhouette indeed! Nice work.
Love the back-lit silhouettes Chris. The shades of blues, purples and oranges really add to the drama. Very unique capture!
Very nice image of a truly evil plant
Yes they are evil.
