A Taste of Fall

Fall color near Sedona Arizona. Captured on the West Fork Trail.

This past weekend we spent camping in the high country near Sedona Arizona.  One of my goals for that trip was to capture some fall color before it was gone.  Needless to say the trail delivered on the fall goodness.

We set out on the West Fork Trail around mid-morning.  When the kids make the trip there is no early morning departures. 🙂   Walking through we were greeted with red, yellow, and orange explosions of color.  It was truly amazing.  The only downside of the trip was the amount of people on the trail.  I’m pretty sure the entire population of Phoenix was on the trail with me.  Those crazy photographers kept getting in my way.  Can you imagine?

This is the first image I have had time to process.  I hope to post the rest of them later this week.

Until next time…

Camera: Canon 40D with a Tamron 17-35mm

  1. This trail and the colors were simply unbelievable. Like Chris said, the entire population of Phoenix was there that day, but you can see from this picture why that is. Highly recommend West Fork Trail in Oak Creek Canyon to anyone in AZ.
