Introducing Morgan and Laramie
What a joy it was to photograph Morgan and Larmie’s Lost Mission wedding. It was my third time photographing this wonderful family. Morgan has two sisters, Shelby the oldest, and McKenzie who is Morgan’s twin. It turned out to be a trifecta of beautiful brides.
One thing I love about each of these girls is how they made their wedding their own. Morgan and Laramie chose an amazing southwest venue in Lost Mission. It was the perfect location in the hill country of San Antonio, complete with a Spanish-themed church.
Getting Ready
Upon arriving at the Lost Mission one is completely lost in the scale of the venue. With its expansive landscape, church, and reception hall complete with an outdoor fireplace, my mind was already racing on how many wonderful photos I could get with our couple.
My second photographer Becca and I made our way to visit Morgan and Laramie. They chose not to do a first look to save those initial reactions for the ceremony! Morgan was surrounded by her girls getting the finishing touches on makeup and then preparing for the dress. None of her gals had seen her in it and this was one reveal that couldn’t wait for the ceremony. As we got the girls ready for the reveal, Becca made her way over to photograph Laramie and his boys. As you can expect they made it fun and Becca got some great shots of the antics.
The Wedding
With the guests seated it was time for Laramie to see his bride come down the aisle. Morgan was escorted by her father Coyt and she looked stunning. All eyes were on Morgan as Coyt in tradition gave her away to Laramie. The ceremony was topped off by a mid-way recessional kiss and of course, ringing the church bell (a tradition).
Formals, Ceremony, Details and the Reception
With the ceremony in the books, it was time for formal pictures with our couple. Of course, no Lost Mission wedding is complete without a few beer donkeys in the pics. So much fun photographing the two little burros with our couple.
