Family Pictures at the Phoenix Zoo
What a fun time photographing family pictures at the Phoenix Zoo with the Fassett family. These guys were high energy from start to finish.
Fun Day Shooting Family Pictures at the Phoenix Zoo
I met up with Kate and her family at the Phoenix Zoo a few weeks back. Kate was the winner of a family portrait session I had donated to a charity. Originally we were going to go to a park near their home but I suggested something a little different, the Phoenix Zoo. I had done family portrait sessions at the zoo in the past and figured Kate’s children would enjoy a day at the zoo.
Boy was I right. Cameron and Quinn had an absolute blast. With so many things to see they were on cloud nine. Of course the day we were there the zoo was sponsoring a charity event of their own. The larger than normal crowds made it a challenge to get photos without having a bunch of “photo bombers”. Nonetheless I love a challenge.
One of things I love about shooting family photos is getting to spend a little time with my clients in a fun setting. Hearing stories about client’s children and how they are similar to my own kids always reminds me that we are all more alike than different. Kids unites us all. Well that and trips to the zoo to see the monkeys. Haha!
We made our way through various areas of the zoo ducking the crowds and enjoying ourselves. One of our last stops was at the petting area with the goats. This is always a favorite as the kids are so consumed by brushing the goats. Nothing else matters as they run from one goat to the next. It’s a nice break from the reality of the world and see true human kindness taught by children.
Family pictures at the Phoenix Zoo with the Fassett family was a memorable trip. Below you will find a few of my favorite images from their session. Until next time.
