Walk This Way

Today’s image is all about having a little fun with a fisheye lens. Back in the late spring we were camping in the high country and I rented a Canon 15mm for the trip.
The shot above was taken at Willow Springs Lake which is located on the Mogollon Rim. This area is about 2 hours to the NE of Phoenix.
The distortion and vignetting were purposely left in to add a little uniqueness to this simple image. I do plan on purchasing a fish sometime in the near future to supplement my landscape photography.
Until next time…

I really like how this came out man, the B&W looks awesome, as does the mist rise off the water! WOW!
Personally, I like images with a bit of distortion, especially when you can make the horizon arc. Very cool!
Cool shot, Chris. The lens distortion is very attractive and adds to the overall shot. I also like those twinkles of light on the railings.
I totally want to run off this and jump into the water. That, or sit at the edge with my feet dangling in the water while I sip on my coffee.
This is nice man. I love the little burst of bright light off of the rails. Brings a bit of liveliness to it.
Cool shot with the sun right over the dock and love the glints of light on the rails!
Wow, I love this picture… very nice! 🙂
Very dreamy, Chris, I love the lines created by the dock here!
Well done. Great choice in B&W. That’s some tricky lighting, but I like the result.
Love the mood in this. Great lead in lines
