TGIF everyone! This has been long week and I for one am glad to see the weekend is here.
Sunday I will be flying up to Vegas to attend WPPI. For those who aren’t familiar it is probably the largest wedding/portrait convention for photographers. I’m hoping to catch up with a few friends, attend some classes, and finish out spending money at the trade show on some goodies. Just don’t let my wife know about that last part. 🙂
Last weekend we took our kids to a local farm for an afternoon of “take it easy”. Schnepf Farm is a real working farm that also caters to families. They have small carnival type rides, a train, hayrides, and of course a petting zoo. Our kids always have a blast running around and getting dirty.
On the way out I stopped and grabbed a few shots of this old red tractor. Have a great weekend!
Until next time…
Camera: Canon 40D with a Canon 17-40L
Processing: Lightroom 3, CS5, Photomatix 4, Phototools 2.6
Nice work. I like the understated HDR effects here.
Have fun at WPPI! I love conventions and don’t go to enough myself. They’re great places to connect as well as learn. What sort of goodies you thinking of picking up?
Hi Andrew. Two things I am most interested in are Radio Poppers Wireless Triggers and the Apollo Softbox from Westcott.
Too bad your wife follows your blog. 😛 Let’s see, shopping trip while you are away??????
I like the way you’ve processed this. Have a great time in Vegas.
What a great shot of that old tractor, that doesn’t look nearly it’s age. 😉
Enjoy the trip the Vegas. Safe travels!
Love shots like this, and this one is terrific.
I LOVE tractors! This is a wonderful example of such! Great shot here, Chris! Best of luck at your convention, my friend!
Really well processed here man!
Nice subtle use of HDR processing. I’ve seen too many of these images of old vehicles where the HDR processing is way too OTT. This one definitely does not fit into this category.
I used to be infatuated with these things when I was young! Thanks for the quick nostalgia 🙂 Well shot and processed.
I hope you had a good time at the WPPI. On another note, I wonder if your wife found out about your planned purchases.
Always fun to visit one. We have one we takes the kids every now and then to pick their own vegies.
