Karen and Ivan | Engagement at The Boulders

I’m super excited to share this Boulders engagement session from a few weeks back. I had a blast photographing Karen and Ivan at The Boulders resort located in Carefree Arizona. 

A Boulders Engagement

When I first met Karen and Ivan I was taken back with the energy they had. They are one of those couples who are a 1 + 1 = 3 when it comes to fun and good times. This dynamic professional duo of lawyer and engineer shatter any stereotypes one may have about their professions.

After our initial meeting I knew I had to photograph their wedding. They are both so passionate about their upcoming wedding that I had to be a part of it.  So when the email came in that they wanted to book me, I have to admit that I did my photographer happy dance. Yes, there is a photographer’s happy dance but no you may not see it. 🙂

Karen and Ivan wanted to have a few engagement photos with their dogs, Luigi and Bella. They asked if that would be an issue and of course being a dog lover I replied “oh we will have fun with them”. I love it when couples bring their furry kids. Dogs rule!

We got several shots of Karen, Ivan and the pooches at a local park and then made our way to The Boulders resort. I was stoked that Karen and Ivan lined up The Boulders for our engagement session. What a beautiful resort for an outdoor shoot. We made our way around the grounds getting amazing shots of this gorgeous couple. As you can see they made my job easy.
