Rocky Mountain High

A quick post today on dealing with our early heat here in AZ. This is a shot of the San Juan mountains just outside of Silverton Colorado.
A few summers ago we vacationed in Durango Colorado for some summer time camping fun. Along with rafting the Animas River we did a little off roading in my Tacoma. The trail you see in the picture above is known as Engineer’s Pass. It offers amazing views and sheer drops so you don’t want to take in those views too long while driving.
Needless to say it is a bit cooler there than it is here in Phoenix. Yesterday we hit 108 and today I think we are supposed to be at 106. So with that I offer this mountain escape to daydream about. Durango and Silverton are amazing little towns to visit if you are ever in the southwest part of Colorado. The Rocky Mountains always deliver.
Until next time…

Man what a view. I’d settle for a little shack with minimal conveniences to live here for a few years!
Lovely! Gotta love those clouds against that blue sky.
What a beautiful scene. Love those big puffy clouds.
Talk about a picturesque scene! This is stunning
Amazing shot man. Love that sky to frame it all up!
