Shattered Skies in the Arizona Desert
The Arizona desert takes the stage today.
Earlier this summer I had managed to leave work early and head out for a storm chase. I was on my way to Tucson to try and get set up for a storm system that was beginning to build. About halfway there the sky was beginning to catch the setting sun. Granted we get these types of sunsets quite often here, but I never grow tired of seeing them.
I managed to pull off the interstate and drive over to highway 387. From there I set up my camera and fired away. Never one to waste a good sunset I also managed to get this road shot as I was leaving. Mother Nature can be very giving when she wants to be.
Until next time…

I so need a dune buggy to race around this setting. Do you happen to know the way to Thunderdome?
NIce! This is out by where I live!
I wouldn’t get tired of these skies either Chris. Awesome cloud formations, light and color.
Very nice. I will say, I do sort of miss the Arizona sunsets. 🙂
That’s one beautiful sky Chris.
