Renaissance Hotel Wedding | Chris and Leah
Chris and Leah had an amazing Renaissance Hotel Wedding over in Glendale AZ. These two celebrated their wedding day just as you should, surrounded by family and friends.
When I first met Leah, I was immediately drawn into her personality. A combination of rambunctious with a clear direction of what she wanted for her wedding (if that can make sense, haha). As the big day approached we kept in sync as to how the day would go. One concern we both had would be the Arizona heat. With their wedding in June there was a huge concern of whether it would be indoors or outdoors.
As I was packing for their wedding I was watching the weather forecast religiously. It was going to be hot. Upon arriving at the hotel, my second shooter and I quickly scouted the hotel grounds. We were looking for possible shady spots that we might be able to use for the bride and groom formals. We finished up and made our way to Leah’s room. I introduced my second shooter Matt to Leah. After which Matt made his way towards Chris’s room to start photographing the guys. I began shooting some of Leah’s details as she and her bridesmaids continued getting ready.
With the ceremony fast approaching Chris and Leah were faced with a judgement call of where to hold the ceremony, indoors or outdoors. The temperature was rising with no hope of it stopping. Indoor ceremony was the call. The staff at the Renaissance Hotel had planned well for this being a possible situation. They had one of the ballrooms already being setup for the ceremony.
Leah made her way down the aisle as friends and family looked. She looked stunning as Chris stood waiting for her. A few tears were shed as well as a few laughs as the vows united these two into one. The reception followed with a night of dancing and fun. I want to finish up with a sincere thank you to both Chris and Leah for allowing me to photograph their special day.
