Outdoor Family Portraits The Dowdys

Nothing makes me happier than having repeat clients like the Dowdys. I got together with Kevin, Leslie, and Avery for some fun filled outdoor family portraits.

Last year I had the privilege of shooting Avery’s first birthday portraits. She rocked that session like a true pro. With another year of life under her belt I was curios what was in store for me. As you can see from the images it was simply more cuteness. Imagine that!

We met up at Freestone park in Gilbert to explore and have some fun. It is an amazing park that offers a lot for the kids. Not only are there tons of trees and hills to run on, they also have a small selection of carnival rides and a train that circles the park. Everything a kid could want and more.

Grabbing photos of the Dowdys was pretty easy. Little Avery had a ball running around the park. Of course one downside to shooting at a popular park is everyone and their brother is there too. Having to keep the “photo bombers” out of my shots proved to be quite a task. Long story short, I asked Kevin & Leslie if the would be game to meet up again at a different park to get a few more shots that didn’t involve a lot of others. 🙂 So a few weekends later we were able to shoot at another location to round out their session.

I always enjoy working with families, and with Kevin and Leslie being friends of ours that’s icing on the cake. Seeing how much Avery has changed in a year is nice reminder how fast our kids grow up. Something we should keep in mind every day and enjoy those moments.
