Today we will finish up (for now) the camping trip we took last weekend. This shot was taken at the Rim Vista trail that runs along the edge of the Mogollon Rim.
The outcroppings made for some great candid shots of the family and friends. Of course my wife had a death grip on our 3 year the whole time we were near the edge. It is hard to tell from this pic but a wrong step off the edge and you are going to be falling for awhile.
This is definitely one of those places where you can come, sit and get your zen on. For me there is something mystical and unexplainable about being in the mountains. Rather it be skiing down a double diamond or mountain biking a trail, I feel connected to Mother Earth. I’ve never understood it, but always welcomed it. Perhaps others have felt it as well?
Memorial Day weekend is approaching and I wish everyone a safe and fun holiday. For my fellow international togs, enjoy the weekend nonetheless. You know who you are. 🙂
Until next time…
nicely done and great sky Chris, enjoy the long weekend!
Beautiful shot Chris – great work!
Excellent shot, Chris! Just a great composition!
Love this! Beautiful colors!
Love the foreground ledge with it’s cacophony of red stone tones. Then that line of orange sunset on the horizon just kills.
Beautiful, moody and oh, yes heart-stopping, view of that variegated outcropping. Memorable capture Chris.
Awesome scene, Chris.
Looks like a great place to spend some time.
What a view Chris, the light is just incredible.
It’s always nice to be away from everything and out with nature, just where we’re meant to be. I’d be it’s a fantastic view just sitting on the ledge and taking it all in!
nice post!
