This past weekend was filled with a lot of hope but for me it ended with one good Arizona shelf cloud. In fact it was the largest shelf cloud I’ve ever seen while storm chasing in AZ.
This past Sunday was filled with a road trip that allowed me to get lightning at the Petrified Forest. It was my 2nd annual trip with fellow photographers Scott Wood and Brian Snyder.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when we did Shannon’s senior pictures at The Grove. Various photographers had mentioned it wasn’t what it used to be and the crowds were still horrible. We threw caution to the wind and headed out.

The view of San Diego’s skyline is hard to beat. Couple that with their gorgeous beaches, amazing weather, and unlimited activities and you will know why it’s one of my favorite cities.
